Armenian-American composer and pianist, Armen Ghazarian, releases his first and second original compositions: Untold Destiny, Op. 1 and Prelude No. 1 in C Minor, Op. 2. Ghazarian embarked on his compositional career in 2021 with these two short piano pieces, which were released to all streaming platforms on 8/25/2021.
Ghazarian was born in Long Beach, CA to an Armenian family with several talented musicians. His grandfather, Alek Bazoukian, is an experienced an accomplished composer who introduced Ghazarian to the piano as a toddler. Ghazarian was also inspired by his uncle, Aren Bazoukian, who is a virtuoso pianist. With musical idols around him, Ghazarian started learning how to play the piano at six years old. By the time he was 11, he had made great progress as a pianist and was performing advanced pieces such as Beethoven’s Sonata No. 14 “Moonlight” III. He frequently watched videos of performers such as Evgeny Kissin, Arthur Rubinstein, and Vladimir Horowitz, and was inspired by their virtuosic technique. Ghazarian started studying composition with his grandfather when he was 24 years old.
